I’ve spent most of my life wishing my voice wasn’t so wimpy.  I first realized that there was a  dilema when I was asked to get up in front of the class and  deliver a speech in high school.  I didn’t sound too poor to me, but  I could tell from the snickers of my schoolfellows that something wasn’t quite right.

Later that day, i approached a friend of mine and asked about it. He told me that my  voice had the sound of a woman or girl, and I was very hard to understand. I assumed that I had this problem, because I was  physically not yet fully developed. So I thought that, as time goes by, I would get rid of this problem by growing out of it.  Unfortunately nothing has happened in this direction. So I began to wonder if there was a specific solution for my  dilema.

Here are some things I found out

You should attempt to get sufficient rest at nighttime.  You may have  noted how your voice takes on a deeper pitch when you first wake up in the  morning.  This is because the muscles in your pharynx that manipulate your pitch have had a  chance to rest.  When the muscles are unstrained the voice is deeper.  When they’re  constricted, the pitch goes up.  It’s like a string on a musical instrument.  The more you tighten  it, the higher the note.

Basic rule to change your situation is to clear  yourself from stress. This is normally easier said than done, but if you are able to put stress aside, your voice will  know the benefit of that. But it is not only your voice, which will gain from stress deduction. Your  total life will be positively influenced by this. So keep in mind, stress is the cause of tension, which  results in a higher pitch of your voice.

Learn to do some exercises specifically designed to improve voice pitch and  tone.  These are easy enough to find.  You might test some of the things news broadcasters or stage actors do  to aid their voices become lower, stronger and more vibrant.

Try speaking from the diaphragm.  The deeper in your body the voice starts, the deeper it will sound  coming out of your mouth.

{There are lots of other matters you can focus on to assist  deepen your voice, but these four are a great start and all simple to  attain}
